Bio

Paul Elia is an LA-based comedian, actor, and content creator from Detroit, Michigan. The multi-faceted entertainer has several viral clips and has amassed over 100M+ views across all social media which include his stand up, sketches, and crowd work clips. 

In 2024, he released his first stand-up special,Detroit Player on YouTube. This is the first Iraqi-Assyrian/American stand-up special and was filmed in Paul’s hometown of Detroit. Elia talks about his upbringing, his immigrant family and why women need to date short men. The special was produced by Bassem Youssef with Matt Rife as the executive producer. 

 

Additionally, Elia is one of the few Chaldean-Assyrians in Hollywood and has appeared in dozens of films and television shows including Ramy, Lady Dynamite and TBS’s Conan, acting in multiple sketches. Currently, Paul is a series regular on the anticipated A24/Amazon animation #1 Happy Family USA, slated to be released in 2024.

 

With fellow comedian Matt Rife, the duo created one of the top independent comedy shows in the country LowKey Comedy Show. LowKey has been profiled multiple times by Deadline and featured in several prestigious festivals like Just For Laughs and the Netflix is a Joke to name a few. The duo continues to collaborate as Paul produced Matt’s most recent Netflix comedy special Natural Selection.
